Incorporated Societies Act 2022

The Incorporated Societies Act 2022 passed in April 2022 has updated the previously out of date legislation dating back to 1908. Our last Club constitution was a one pager in 2013.

This requires the Club to review our rules. The changes have not changed in any way the key purpose of the Club which is to provide and promote the sport of Volleyball to communities in an affordable, efficient and enjoyable manner .

The revised Constitution MUST be filed with the Companies Office by 5th April 2026 or we will cease to exist. It is our wish to host a Special General meeting of the Club to authorise the filing of our documents. Considerable effort has gone into adapting to the modern era of sport management with this draft Constitution now fulfilling the requirements under the new Act.

All members are invited to review the draft Constitution with a view to approving it at a Special General Meeting to be held on Wednesday 17th September 2025. See notice attached.
